arriving

[Welcome]

You will usually land at the South Airport (Tenerife Sur TFS Reina Sofía). After picking up your rental car (which is necessary on the island), it will take you approximately 50 minutes to reach us. On the way, we recommend making your first shopping stop – ideally right off the highway in Adeje, where you can find both a LIDL and an ALDI.

You can park directly next to the house on our private parking lot. We will be personally present (in the main house next door) to hand over the keys, give you a tour, and offer tips to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Alternatively, we have a key box next to the main gate for convenient self-check-in at any time of day or night.

Arrival

Settle in...

We will gladly share the PIN for the key box (image on the right, directly next to the main gate) via WhatsApp before your arrival. Inside, you will find 2 keys – one with a colored ring for the main gate, and the other for the door to the apartment. When opening the main gate, gently PULL to open it. Then, walk across the yard (the main house with the tower is on the right, the Casa Castillo on the left) to the end and turn right. CAUTION: Two steps!

After a few meters, you will see the terrace on the right with the door to your accommodation. Once inside, you will see the beds on the left with your towels, and on the kitchen counter, fresh spring water for you to drink. More towels are in the cupboard on the right.

The Apartment

essentials

What else...

  • WLAN: Belkin.7462
  • Password: 14A48359
  • Fresh water from the spring: Simply place the empty bottle in front of the main house entrance or ask my parents!
  • Please bring the cushions inside overnight or if you're leaving and it rains! Thank you!
  • The washing machine is available for a small fee. Just go east (towards Teide) through the small gate. The laundry room is on the right, and there’s also a drying rack for your use.
  • Please, whenever possible (sunny & dry), open the windows to air out! Thank you!
  • The trash is not sorted here. When the bin is full, please empty it into the green bin next to the main gate. Thank you!
  • Sometimes (especially in dry summers), there may be a short water outage. Please don’t worry! The pressure is usually back within a few minutes (max. 20 min.).
  • If you forgot something while shopping or need something spontaneously, there is a small "Supermercado" (shop) at the top of the street (Calle Tamonante).
  • We are in the middle of nature, so it may happen that ants (usually very tiny) wander into the house. Just spray (the can is under the sink).
  • Please DO NOT feed the cats. However, our cute lizards are welcome to be fed.
  • Some plants in the garden have thorns or are poisonous. Please be careful, especially with children!
  • You’ll find dog bowls in the laundry room, as well as cleaning products, a baby crib, and the iron.
  • Please do not adjust the TV. PLEASE, PLEASE! Otherwise, it will take us hours to set it back correctly.
  • The terraces can be slippery when wet (surprise)!
  • Please leave left-over food in the fridge - we'll take care of it. Thanks!
  • At the end of your stay, simply leave the key in the front door. Thank you!

The only tricky part is the U-turn in the village – it's a bit tight, so just take it slow and steady. And yes... the roads here are narrow and steep (welcome to authentic island life!).

🅿️ Arrival & Parking
Turn off at Tamonante 37, then just continue straight ahead and park on our private parking area – it's all yours!

🔑 Self Check-In
In case we’re not able to greet you in person: just grab the keys from the key box and enter through the main gate.

Easy as that!

Through the courtyard... Your accommodation is the standalone traditional Canarian stone house on the left.
