arriving

[Welcome]

You will usually land at the South Airport (Tenerife Sur TFS Reina Sofía). After picking up your rental car (which is necessary on the island), it will take you approximately 50 minutes to reach us. On the way, we recommend making your first shopping stop – ideally right off the highway in Adeje, where you can find both a LIDL and an ALDI.

You can park directly next to the house on our private parking lot. We will be personally present (in the main house next door) to hand over the keys, give you a tour, and offer tips to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Alternatively, we have a key box next to the main gate for convenient self-check-in at any time of day or night.

Arrival

Settle in...

We’ll be happy to share the PIN for the key box (see photo on the right, directly next to the main gate) with you via WhatsApp before your arrival. Inside the box, you'll find two keys – one with a colored ring for the main gate, and the other for the front door. To open the main gate, gently pull it.

After that, walk across the courtyard (the main house with the tower is on your right) to the standalone traditional Canarian stone house. CAUTION: Two steps!

Once inside, you'll see the beds with your towels on the left, the bathroom door on the right, and straight ahead, the door to the kitchen and living room. On the kitchen counter, you’ll find fresh spring water – free for you to drink. Additional towels, beach towels, and outdoor cushions are in the cupboard on the right.

essentials

What else?

  • Wi-Fi Network: TP-Link_2488
    Password: 72826492
  • Fresh Spring Water
Simply place your empty bottle in front of the main house entrance, or feel free to ask my parents directly.
  • Cushions
Please bring the garden cushions inside overnight or if you're leaving and rain is expected. Thank you!
  • Washing Machine
Available for a small fee. Just walk around the house – on the left side you'll find the laundry room and a drying rack you’re welcome to use.
  • Ventilation
Please open the windows and let in fresh air whenever possible (sunny & dry weather). Thank you!
  • Trash
Waste is not separated here. When the bin is full, please empty it into the large green container next to the main gate. Thank you!
  • Water Pressure
Occasionally (especially during dry summer months), water pressure may temporarily drop. Don’t worry – it usually returns within a few minutes (max. 20 minutes).
  • Forgot Something?
There’s a small local supermarket at the top of the street (Calle Tamonante) for any essentials you may need.
  • Nature & Ants
We’re surrounded by nature, so tiny ants may occasionally sneak inside. Just spray them (you’ll find a can under the sink).
  • Animals
Please do not feed the cats. Our lovely lizards, on the other hand, are welcome to be fed!
  • Garden Safety
Some plants in the garden have thorns or are toxic – please take care, especially with children.
  • Dog Bowls & More
You’ll find dog bowls, cleaning supplies, a baby crib, and an iron in the laundry room.
  • TV
Please do not adjust the TV settings – it takes us ages to restore everything. Pretty please!
  • Terrace Safety
Be careful – the terraces can get slippery when wet!
  • Please leave left-over food in the fridge. We'll take care of it!
  • Check-Out
At the end of your stay, simply leave the key in the front door. Thank you!

The only tricky part is the U-turn in the village – it's a bit tight, so just take it slow and steady. And yes... the roads here are narrow and steep (welcome to authentic island life!).

Arrival & Parking
Turn off at Tamonante 37, then just continue straight ahead and park on our private parking area – it's all yours!

Self Check-In
In case we’re not able to greet you in person: just grab the keys from the key box and enter through the main gate. Easy as that!

Through the courtyard...Your accommodation is the standalone traditional Canarian stone house on the left.

You’ll find two blog posts on our website with a wide selection of tips and personal favorites — all based on our own experiences, of course.

But feel free to ask Uncle Google anytime… or nowadays, even ChatGPT or any other AI helpers. They’ve got some good ideas too.

Hiking trips (plus MTB)

You’ll find a selection of hiking routes in the analog guest folder (in the cupboard). That said, digital tools these days offer a much wider and more colorful variety — including GPS tracks and route details for the pros among our hiking friends.

As a passionate trail runner and mountain biker, I’m also happy to share personal tips for routes off the beaten path — just let me know!
